Join us for a fun evening as we kick off an exceptional week filled with an outstanding scientific program, plenty of opportunities to connect with old friends and new, and the Commander's Cup Competition to rekindle the rivalry between branches. 0600 - 0700 Registered Attendees' Breakfast (Included in Registration)
1115 - 1245 Lagoon Team Relay Competition ($15 per person)
The kick-off event for the Commander’s Cup! This is going to be a challenging race that includes maneuvering 3 different types of watercraft – 2 person kayak, paddleboards and waterbees through a series of buoys in the lagoon. Points will be awarded to each team. Prizes will be given to the 1st place team. Team not required. (Individuals will be placed on teams by branch.)
1715 Hawaiian Luau (Included in Registration)
In early Hawaii, it was the custom of its people to celebrate occasions with a feast. Today's luaus are still a celebration of life; a time to share traditional foods, enjoy songs and dances of early Hawaii and to give thanks to our family, friends and guests from other cultures. Enjoy the luau and buffet under the stars!

And, don’t forget to bring your camera for great photo opportunities with the Hawaiian sunset and Diamond Head! The highlight of the night is our dazzling “These Islands” Polynesian show produced by Kumu Hula Al Makahinu Barcarse, a musical journey celebrating Polynesia’s timeless spirit of love and aloha. Plus, during dinner, our musicians are happy to play your favorite Hawaiian music as we cruise along the Waikiki coastline. Fun audience participation and dancing commences until disembarkation. Menu: 3-course chicken dinner includes mixed green salad with Kamuela vine ripened tomatoes, cucumbers and papaya seed dressing, main entrée of teriyaki chicken with steamed white rice and vegetables, and Lilikoi vanilla ice cream. Freshly baked taro bread with butter accompany dinner. Freshly brewed coffee and tea are also served. Transportation is included.

Don't miss the second event in the Commander's Cup Competition. Play one of the world's best military golf courses, consistently voted Number One by DoD patrons. The Kaneohe Klipper is an 18-hole championship golf course with separate driving range, chipping green and putting green. Experience this golfers' paradise where the Ko'olau Mountains frame the front nine and the Pacific coastline spans the back nine. Enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze as it caresses beautifully-manicured fairways. Points will be awarded to the top 5 foursomes and prizes will be given to the winning foursome, 2nd place foursome, and for the longest drive and closest to the pin.

0600 - 0700 Biathlon
Start your morning right with the third and final event for the Commander's Cup! The Biathlon includes a 200-yard swim across the lagoon and a 2.5 mile run on the beach of Waikiki. Prizes and points will be awarded to the top finisher.

1600 - 1730 Annual Awards Reception ($35 per person)
It’s time to relax and celebrate the many successes of the week! The Founder’s Award, the Norman T. Kirk Award and the Louise House Award winners will be announced, outgoing and newly appointed members of the Board of Directors will be celebrated and the highly anticipated Commander’s Cup (and bragging rights) will be awarded to the winning branch. Heavy hor’s duevres and drink tickets will be available.
