Podium Presenter Requirements

Podium/Concurrent Podium presentations are limited to 5 minutes and will be timed.
Manuscripts for podium presentations are due October 3, 2022.  This is a requirement and those that fail to submit by the deadline will not be included in the award competition.  The manuscript should be submitted in a Word Document without Track Changes, pictures or tables; and include a title page with all the authors’ names, rank and contact information.  Please send the manuscript to [email protected].

Please have your coauthors go to https://www.xcdsystem.com/datatrace/abstract/index.cfm?ID=Wt6jQ5L and complete the Mandatory Financial Disclosure Forms. If your coauthors have not signed into the site yet their username and password will be the email address you entered for them when you submitted the abstract. They do not need to create a new contact.  All disclosure forms need to be completed on, or before November 21st.   Disclosure information must be updated every other year. Your presentation will be removed from the program if all of your co-authors do not complete the Disclosure Form by November 21st.

All abstract presenters are required to register for the meeting and receive the member registration fee. If you are a Resident or Fellow, please register at the Resident/Fellow registration fee. All withdrawals may be put on a 3-year probationary period at the discretion of the Program Chair and President. All authors and co-authors of any withdrawn presentation will be unable to submit work to SOMOS for consideration, unless there are reasonable extenuating circumstances.

The Financial Disclosure and FDA Forms are not optional. The ACCME requires the Mandatory Financial Disclosure Form be completed by all authors and coauthors in order for you to speak at the meeting. In addition, they require that the 1st or 2nd slide of your presentation include your disclosure statement.  This slide should outline the disclosure information included on the disclosure form.
