Since 2006, the Extremity War Injuries Symposiums have sought to identify the top orthopaedic research priorities for the wounded warrior and tactical athlete. The purpose of our meetings is to identify the orthopaedic research gaps most relevant to the US Service Member.

EWI XVIII 2026
Join us in January for Extremity War Injuries XVIII: Securing the Mission - Funding Orthopaedic Science for the Battles Ahead. This Symposium will provide an overview of the current research funding landscape and strategies for the future, orthopaedic research updates, breakout sessions, the latest trauma and sports medicine challenges, and optimizing care of upper extremity injuries.
